Waking frequently Midnight? How to cope with this

Medical problems such as coughing or even sleep apnea, can also be the reason why you often wake up in the middle of the night.

"I once had a patient who woke up due to the rapid heartbeat. And this happens because he (the patient) has a problem with his heart," said Dr. Kryger.

According to Dr. Kryger, too concerned and worried about the habit of waking up at night this will actually make the problem worse. Dr. Kryger said that this will have an impact on his emotions.

"They (people who always woke up in the middle of the night) will start the morning with a feeling of frustration, anger, and upset because they can not sleep well," said Dr. Kryger.

In some cases, good things are trying to get used can help. Nicotine and alcohol are believed to cause people often wake up from sleep. So to leave the habit of smoking and drinking alcohol, especially before bed, called to help. Avoiding spicy foods before bedtime also called to assist.
